Parking Fee Increase Effective April 1, 2026

Alexandria,Ontario – Hôpital Glengarry Memorial Hospital (HGMH) announces that effective April 1, 2026, public parking fees will increase from $5 to $6 per 24-hour period. This is the first adjustment to parking rates since 2015.
The updated parking rates as of April 1st will be as follows:
- 15-minute grace period
- 16–60 minutes: $4
- 24 hours: $6
- Monthly parking pass: $60 per month, plus a $5 refundable deposit (to be purchased at the Business Office)
Parking payments can be made at one of two pay stations conveniently located at the Pool Entrance and beside the Business Office near the Main Entrance.
The modest increase will help offset rising operational and maintenance costs associated with maintaining safe, accessible, and well-maintained parking facilities. Parking revenue supports snow removal, lighting, security measures, equipment upkeep, and ongoing services.
“We recognize that hospital visits can be stressful, and we have worked to keep parking rates affordable for as long as possible,” said Robert Alldred-Hughes, President & CEO. “This adjustment allows us to continue maintaining our parking areas to ensure safety, accessibility, and reliability for everyone who visits ourfacility.”
HGMH remains committed to balancing affordability with the responsibility of maintaining quality facilities and services for the community.
